　今日は読み聞かせボランティアさんが、2月の読み聞かせをしてくださいました。どのクラスも、本に引きつけられていました。

消防自動車の横にはこんな棚が

3年生が社会科見学で向島消防署に行きました。
実際に使われている消防車の中にはどういった装備があるのか
はしご車のはしごはどこまで伸びるのかなど
普段は見ることができない消防自動車の仕組みを見せていただくことが
できました。

The third-grade students went on a field trip to the Mukojima Fire Station.
They learned about the equipment inside the fire trucks in use,
how far the ladder can extend, and other details about the fire trucks' mechanisms
that they usually don't get to see.

今日は、体育朝会がありました。
今回は大縄に挑戦です。大縄を回す向き、飛ぶ位置などを考えて
記録に挑みました。

Today, we had a physical education assembly.
Students challenged themselves with a large jump rope. They considered the direction to turn the rope and the positions to jump from as they aimed to set a new record.

　今日は、2年生が生活科で作ったおもちゃを1年生に紹介し、遊んでもらう時間をもちました。2年生は、1年生に丁寧に教えてあげ、数々の楽しいおもちゃで、1年生も楽しんでいました。

Today, the second graders introduced the toys they made in their Life and Environment Studies class to the first graders and spent time playing with them. The second graders carefully taught the first graders how to use the toys, and the first graders had a lot of fun with the various enjoyable toys.

今日は、登校時に地震が発生したことを想定して、避難訓練を実施しました。自分で自分の身を守る行動ができていました。

Today, we conducted an evacuation drill, assuming an earthquake occurred while commuting to school. Students could take action to protect themselves.

今日から校内書き初め展が始まりました。
みんなお手本を見ながら上手に書けています。
来週は保護者のみなさんにも公開しますのでぜひご覧になってみてください。

Every student is doing a great job, following the examples carefully.

今週から持久走週間が始まりました。
3分間で校庭を何周走れるか運動委員さんを中心に頑張っています。
自分のペースを確認しながら無理をせず走りましょう。

The endurance running week started this week.
Led by the sports committee members, every student works hard to see how many laps they can run around the schoolyard in three minutes.
Let's run at our own pace and avoid overexertion.

冬休みに製作した凧が職員室前の廊下に展示してあります。
みんな色とりどりに今年の干支や好きなキャラクターを描いて
くれました。
とても上手にできていました。

The kites made during the winter break are displayed in the hallway in front of the staff room.
Everyone drew this year's zodiac sign and their favorite characters in various colors.
They did an excellent job.

今日は中休みに縦割り班遊びがありました。
校庭や教室に分かれて「ふやしおに」や「リレー」を
楽しみました。

Today, during the mid-morning break, we had mixed-grade group activities. We enjoyed playing 'tag' and 'relay races' in the schoolyard and classrooms.

今日は4年生と5年生の席書会がありました。
席書会とは日本に古くから伝わる年中行事です。
みんな一文字一文字心を込めて丁寧に書いていました。

Today, the fourth and fifth graders had a calligraphy event.
The calligraphy event is a traditional annual event in Japan.
Everyone wrote each character carefully and with heartfelt dedication.
